This highly-effective dust mite barrier cot mattress cover is made from natural cotton microweave fabric and fully encases your mattress for superior allergy protection.
If you are unsure which cot size you have, just have a quick look at the width (European: 600mm, American: 690mm, Boori: 760mm).
The dust mite cover's fully-enclosed design prevents allergen from escaping from the mattress. It has an internal flap system to further reduce the risk of allergen transmission through the zip. The quality YKK zip itself, extends halfway around the cover so you can easily insert your mattress into the cover and zip it up.
The fabric is called ‘micro-weave’ because the gaps in the weave have been reduced to only 3.5-4.5 microns - small enough to prevent the transmission of dust mite allergens in the bed through the cover to the sleeper.
We have chosen this advanced cotton fabric because it is functional, as well as breathable, durable and comfortable to sleep on.
Features:
- Made slightly oversize to allow for shrinkage when hot-washed
- Made locally in Avondale (Auckland, New Zealand)
- We can make for custom or oversize beds, see Made to Measure covers
Product Care
Wash your MiteGuard® Covers in hot water (60°C) every 3 months. We recommend doing a hot wash every time the seasons change.
In the meantime, you can vacuum your covers, or wipe them with a damp cloth between washes to keep allergen levels down.
Is it a dust mite allergy?
Frequent sneezing, a runny or stuffy nose and itchy eyes at bedtime are common symptoms of a Dust Mite allergy. You might also cough, have a wheeze or develop eczema.
