If you have cushions, we recommend MiteGuard® cushion covers as a key tool in your kit against dust mite allergies. Because cushions are used to sit on, lie on and rest against, all that movement can send allergen particles into the air and into your airways. Dust-mites live in soft furnishings and floor coverings - where your cushions are often found. Protect your family and yourselves without having to give up all your comforts!
Made with 3.5 micron, natural cotton micro-weave fabric, our cushions protectors are effective, breathable, and easy to care for. Simply wash in your washing machine once a season to get rid of any dust mites or their allergen particles. Our covers are designed to be hot (60º) or cold washed and can be tumble dried.
The zip enclosure goes most of the way across the opening of our cushion covers, with a small protective closed section at each end of the zip. There is a protective flap both under the zip to stop any dust mites or allergen getting through, and also on top of the zip so it is comfortable to lean against.
Our cushion covers are designed for a range of square shaped cushions. If you have rectangular cushions - check out our pillow covers or custom sizes.
Features:
- 3.5 micron dust mite barrier cotton fabric
- Made a little over-sized to allow for shrinkage
- Quality zips with protective flaps
- 5 year guarantee
- Made by Kiwis
Product Care
Wash your MiteGuard® Covers in hot water (60°C) every 3 months. We recommend doing a hot wash every time the seasons change.
In the meantime, you can vacuum your covers, or wipe them with a damp cloth between washes to keep allergen levels down.
Is it a dust mite allergy?
Frequent sneezing, a runny or stuffy nose and itchy eyes at bedtime are common symptoms of a Dust Mite allergy. You might also cough, have a wheeze or develop eczema.
